Our Mission
The Head Start College program eases this transition first by helping the student to gradually reflect on what they want their college life to look like, and second by helping them to find a set of colleges to match that vision.
We empower students to make the right college choice that will get them the proper education, accomplished at the right amount of time that leads to their first real job. It starts by working through these questions: Who have I been? Who am I now? Who will I become?

HSC works with students in person and on Zoom. We work with students who live a few miles from La Canada Flintridge, CA to students that live all over Los Angeles and Ventura County, and across the interwebs all over the world to attend universities in US, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe.
HSC process brings focus to the student who will not only get the most out of their college experience but graduate in 4 years.
There is a right school for everyone. They may look similar on the outside, but by digging deeper and students will find the right school that maximizes their best outcome and fits their hopes and dreams.
The Head Start College (HSC) program starts with YOU, the student, and your family. Together, we discuss your College Criteria and use it to systematically eliminate all but the few colleges right for you. The Head Start College program breaks the application process down into small steps with applications completed by Thanksgiving. “YES!!”

Statistics show that college students change their majors on average three times. HSC assists students in identifying THREE academic majors. HSC assists student with identification of colleges with respected programs in the identified majors.

This fast paced version includes detailed inventories of interests, experiences, to begin. We build all of the areas made in the longer term process in shorter time-line to create a thoughtful college list, college resume, and essays that truly embody each student. The seniors really dive deep in a shorter amount of time and are inspired by the process and outcome of this program.
